The Lemurian Fellowship, which we will refer to as “we,” “our,” and “us,” understands and respects your concerns about privacy. Our Privacy Policy (“Policy”) has been created to give you confidence as you visit and use our Website and our Online Course. You can be assured that we respect your privacy and treat your personally identifiable information with the highest standards of safety, security and confidentiality.

Basic Information Gathered

Our Website uses surveys, enrollment questionnaires, registration applications and other online forms that ask for your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number and password. When you enroll as a student, our online application asks for your date of birth. These are examples of personally identifiable information (also referred to as “personal information”). You also supply personal information when you send us an e-mail and when you correspond with us in our Online Course using e-mail or our secure messaging service.

Automatic Information Gathered

Our servers automatically track certain information based upon your use of our Website. This is anonymous information that does not personally identify you, and may include domain names and IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet). This information may be used to analyze in aggregate the number of visitors to our site as a basis for improving the services we offer.

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that our web servers may store on your computer’s hard drive. Acceptance of cookies is not a requirement to browse our Website, although their use may make our Website easier for you to access. Cookies are never used to store sensitive information such as addresses, credit card numbers or passwords. If you choose to give us personal information, as in purchases from our Bookstore, when being considered for student enrollment, or as a student in our Online Course, you can be assured that your personal information is not shared with anyone else. We will not sell, rent, loan or give your personal information to anyone else, unless ordered by a court of law. Your communications to and from us are always confidential. When you provide us with personal information we keep it on file to assist us to communicate with you.

We use contractors to service our Website and Online Course. While they may have access to personal information when they provide their services, they are obligated to keep your personal information confidential.

Access to Your Personal Information

While we do not have procedures for you to review or request changes to the personal information that we gather about you on our Website, you may request that we remove this information from our database. Our contact information is provided in this Policy. We will try to remove the information within a reasonable time, unless it involves past activity; is on our “back up” systems; or it involves an e-mail or other communication you sent or received, or a survey, enrollment questionnaire, registration application or other online form you completed. Because we keep track of past activity, you cannot delete information related to past activity. Regarding information which is stored on our “back up” systems, this requires an extended length of time for us to access and also cannot be completely removed, and for this reason you should not expect that your information on these systems will be completely removed or removed within a reasonable time. If you send or receive an e-mail or other communication, complete a survey, enrollment questionnaire, registration application or other online form, or correspond with us in our Online Course using e-mail or our secure messaging service, because we retain these records for our future reference and use you cannot remove your personal information, however you can be assured that we will treat your information with the highest standards of safety, security and confidentiality in accordance with this Policy.
