I too often overlook this gift. It is, at times, easier to hold a grudge about a perceived slight or wrong, than to imagine onesself in a relationship that is harmonious, especially if it means giving up ones cherished sense of being ” right!” Forbearing, even in the face of an actual, intended, hurt, is the tool needed to enjoy better tomorrows in a difficult relationship. Employed together with discrimination, humility and patience, one can experience the harmony so desirable in relationships.
A good reminder of how relationship building can provide countless opportunities for practical application of the virtues. Thank you for your post, Angela!
