Angela, love your reflections on the everyday hero. We sure don’t tend to think of ourselves as such because of the superhero images we’re bombarded with in the media. If we have any type of conscience or compassion, we so want to help somehow, yet our actions seem infinitesimally puny compared to the global problems we’re presented with. One of the issues I’m concerned with is how to do and be satisfied with my work out in the world (that is, of course, not my job or career as such but my attempts to assist others and our planet) when so many others concentrate on wealth and acquisition. I’d love to read someone’s discussion of this.
Thank you for your deeply felt thoughts. As Lemurians, it helps us to try to make the most of the opportunities we have right around us. They may seem small, but we know they can ripple out in surprising ways, and by being the best examples we can of our Lemurian way of life, these efforts always return to us, making us stronger and surer in our striving. We draw encouragement from those like you who are looking for help to be of greater service to humankind. We would be glad to have you join us.
I tried to correct my mistyping but could not. What am I missing?
Not sure you can edit your comments once they are posted, Angela.
Oh my! Good practise for Precision!
We agree! But mistypes or not, your reflective thoughts are always welcome.
At first I thought “everyday heroic?” Then, after munching on that for a few days I realized that, for me, tackling, over and over and over again, the challenges my habits, misunderstandings, and plain orneriness get me into, over and over and over, needs a new outlook. To recognize my ” everyday” issues as enormous, full of import for the fulfillment of the purpose of my life, this everyday incarnation, needs my best, intense, and yes, heroic, attention. They matter in my personal growth, and not tackling them with heroic intent hinders my ability to be of service to others, to be a positive asset, to do the work I agreed to do, when I became a Lemurian Order Member.
