I have a cute reference to animals and emotions. At one house I lived in, there were large pine trees in the back in which ravens liked to nest. I had run speaker wire to the patio so I could listen to music outside without having to turn it on inside. One morning, I was listening to music inside and noticed the outdoor speakers were active, so I turned them off. The ravens had a fit. So I thought, I’ll turn the music back on outside and see if that’s the issue. The second the outdoor music was playing, the ravens were quiet. I had to test it once more, so I turned of the outside music and sure enough, the ravens didn’t like that one bit. So, I turned it back on and left it on until I was finished with it.
That’s fascinating! We’ve heard of charming snakes with music, but not birds. But since they’re music makers, it makes sense that they’d be music lovers too. Do you happen to remember what music you were playing that was so effective?
Spiritual understanding is one’s willingness to accept that it actually has nothing to do with organized religion.
The spirit is one part of the whole human
Species.(Animals won’t be part of this but there is new evidence that many are more complex in feelings than was once debunked)
The human has a body, a soul , spirit, and mine. When we speak of spiritual, we must accept that it refers to the Universe and the One who created it. Spirituality is respect for everything on this planet. It is Universal.
But, it is apart of what drives the life force of each of us. When one abused with cruelty, especially psychological for a very long time, the spirit can be broken. Many refer to the heart. They are really enmeshed as one. The body will suffer, the mind is damaged and this leaves the soul very confused. We were created for all the aspects mentioned earlier to work in harmony. When the ego/mind rules, when the body is ill from stress of other’s acts or the life we choose, when we abuse and disrespect our bodies resulting in illness; the whole person is out of sync, and the soul knows what we are here to be But has no control over out actions.
So understanding spirituality is a common denominator of all humans as opposed to religion which are made up of different belief systems. Spirituality is belief in the planet and the invisible side. Nature is one of the most awesome places to feel the gifts of our Universe. Nature gives everything and never asks for anything in return. The birds are the best example to be brief. They give free concerts every day and wake up as cheerful alarm clocks. They ask for nothing. So feeding them is a very kind but spiritual gift. Spirituality is a great binder of humansvif they understand it demands nothing except trust. In one’s self by trusting in the One who created and watches over us whether we believe it or not.
Your beliefs are similar to ours in many ways, Rita. We would say that organized religion, too, offers a spiritual connection to many, and that all religions and beliefs have their place as humans evolve toward a deeper and more universal consciousness.
More reason to look forward to our/humanity’s future!
I believe this statement to be true, but it has not as of yet been my experience..
